Vicky Wong is a graduate of the MA Games & Playful Design at Goldsmiths, University of London.
She co-created the narrative rhythm game I Write Games Not Tragedies with fellow Goldsmiths alum Julia Mascetti (see previous grid post!). The project came out of a shared attachment to emo subculture, and a genuine joy in collaborating with another woman who cares deeply about the same things.
Vicky is heavily influenced by Brenda Laurel’s Utopian Entrepreneur, and by the idea that technology can be built with social values at its centre. Her practice reflects a commitment to using games for good, and to contributing to a more inclusive tech culture.
This strand focuses on young women shaping technology with care and intention.
